Chocolate Acai Bowl made without banana (because it's still thick and smooth without it), topped with cacao nibs and my grain-free granola. If you're looking for a refreshing snack to cool off your day and give you a boost of energy, try my Chocolate Acai Bowl! It's packed with vital nutrients and antioxidants. (Vegan & Paleo)

Chocolate Acai bowl recipe served in a glass cup on a blue place mat with a white napkin and two wooden spoons

You know I'm Brazilian, and two things I love to eat are acai and chocolate. So why not combine these two highly nutritious fruits to have one delicious snack?

I taught you how to make a traditional acai bowl using just 3 ingredients (the original recipe I grew up eating in Brazil). That recipe is definitely my favorite, but making a cacao acai bowl is so good! Adding cacao to acai is like eating strawberries with chocolate - a great combination.

Sometimes I like to serve it in a bowl with my chocolate granola, but when I'm on the go I prefer to serve it in a cup because it's much easier to carry, especially when I'm the one driving.

To keep my joints and gut in good health, I add a scoop of collagen to my Chocolate Acai Bowl. Plus, the collagen helps to keep my skin looking glowy and vibrant - so win win! Adding a good plant based protein powder is another option if you're vegan.

I love cooling down my days with this Chocolate Acai Bowl! If you haven’t tried it yet... it’s time!! ?

Let me know if you make it and what you think!

In this recipe I wanted to try and mimic the same smooth texture as if I was using bananas, so I used mangos instead. Works great and I don't get that over powering banana flavor. I also added strawberries to give it that acidic berry taste which goes great with acai and chocolate.

If you don't have the frozen acai and just have mangoes and strawberries, it will still be pretty good 😉

One of my favorite brands of acai are by Tambor Acai. Their acai berry pulp purees are made pure from wild harvested, certified organic ingredients. Check them out!
