    Life Changing Decision

    By Adriana Harlan | 11 Comments | Published: Sep 7, 2014 · Modified: Aug 23, 2020

    Hi everyone,
I usually don't post this kind of stuff but I wanted to give you a heads up on something that I am planning and tell you a little bit about the most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make in my life. If my story touches your heart too and you like what I am planning, I’d **love** for you to give me your feedback. Here’s the scoop.

About 2 months ago I decided to take a big risk in my life and I resigned from my position at the University of Hawaii after working almost 10 years as a Research Oceanographer.

My whole life I have wished that one day I would be able to help people and have my own business doing so.

I finally found the courage to follow my dreams and it feels really good!

I always thought that if I don’t take risks, I will always work for someone who does (I am sure many of you who are entrepreneurs can relate to this).

Yes, I am (very) scared… It took years for me to build up the courage to tell my boss that I would be stepping down from my position with the program. The fear of not being able to pay my bills and not have a steady income has always consumed my thoughts and it got in the way of me doing something I really love.

For a very long time I was feeling really stressed and actually miserable, to the extent that it was affecting my health. Finally I came to the realization that if I never quit my “safe and secure” job I would never have the opportunity to do something different and change my life as well as other people’s lives.

One of the biggest motivations that gave me the courage to make this difficult decision came from the inspiring words by Brendon Burchard. He says:

"Working hard and struggling for years and decades doing something we do not love, do not see as our true expression, and do not see as part of our vision for our ideal future is a loss not a win, a sad compromise not a contribution."

    Why This Matters To You

Before I can begin my new journey, I need your help.

I know you love something sweet once in a while that isn’t made with harmful chemicals and processed ingredients.

Until now, I have shared with you my way of turning real food into a sweet symphony of savory desserts through the recipes on my blog. But now I want to do more for you.

In my new journey, I plan to make it easier for you to have access to healthy treats by delivering your favorite desserts straight to your home. This would save you time and money because you wouldn’t have to buy a ton of ingredients for just a few recipes or spend hours in the kitchen.

So I need your help deciding what goodies to make available.

I would be so grateful if you took less than 2 minutes to fill out an anonymous survey that will help fine-tune exactly what these goodies are, because what matters most is what YOU want, not what I think you may want.

Please help me out by clicking on the link below and taking this quick survey.

I consider it a real privilege to be able to share my recipes with you each week. Your time and attention is not something I take lightly. So thanks for being a part of my life and for reading all the way till the end.

With all my love and appreciation,

    XO

    Adriana
